FAQs

  • My hourly rate is $200/hr and my minimum charge is $120 (30min or less). I tattoo fairly fast so feel free to request a quote to get an idea on pricing.

  • Every booking requires a deposit of $100 plus tax that can be made via e-transfer when the appointment is set up. You can also bring cash the day of a consult if you prefer giving the deposit in person.

The deposit is non-refundable but comes off the total cost of the tattoo. The deposit is forfeited if you don't show up or cancel within 48hrs of the appointment. It is also forfeited if you completely change your design as it goes towards the drawing time. For multiple sessions, the deposit carries over until the last session.

  • I have a link to my form that gives me all the info I need to give you an estimate on time/cost and book your tattoo. You can also email me if you have general questions and I’ll do my best to answer in a timely manner.

  • Yes, I do consultations FREE of charge to discuss the tattoo details, take measurements and book the appointment. You aren’t obliged to book in after the consultation if you’re just wanting to feel things out. I suggest a consultation first for first tattoos, cover-ups, reworks and tattoos that are fitting between other tattoos. It’s also good to discuss the design if it’s more complicated and easier to convey in person.

  • You must be 18 years or older with ID to prove your age upon arrival.

  • Each design will vary in time to tattoo as size, placement and whether it’s black/grey or colour. If you fill out my booking form I can give you an estimate of how long the tattoo will take and the approximate cost.

Although I’m usually quite accurate with estimates, there are the odd instances where the tattoo might be taking longer than usual. In this case I offer to book another session to finish the tattoo or continue the session with an adjusted cost. For example, if you book two hours and have budgeted for that, I won’t go over the amount you have budgeted for without discussing with you. If you can’t afford the extra time that session, we simply finish the tattoo in another session.

Because the exact timing of a tattoo session can run later than anticipated, please don’t plan anything within a few hours of your appointment.

  • I do not send drawings out by email or ahead of time. Because of the volume of designs I have to create each week there isn’t enough time to make various drafts of each design.

Each tattoo is created with information provided by the client so please be sure to include all the details if you have specifics in mind. There is time the day of the tattoo to make minor changes but please make sure to get me all the necessary information ahead of time to avoid the extra work. Please make sure you're comfortable with this process before proceeding.

  • It’s best to come in clean, hydrated and fed. Eating before the tattoo is crucial to make sure you don’t feel faint. I always suggest bringing a sugary drink and snack for long sessions.

DO NOT come in hungover, under the influence of drugs/alcohol, if you are sick/unwell or pregnant.

Please wear clothing that makes the tattoo area accessible and is okay if I accidentally get ink on it. You’re welcome to pre-shave an area if you’re confident you won’t cut yourself. Please don’t put lotion on the area of the tattoo the day of the appointment as this can make the stencil come off too easily.

  • In general, yes tattoos hurt. Pain levels vary from person to person and certain areas of the body hurt more than others. It’s best to follow good tattoo preparation practices to ensure the procedure is more tolerable and communicate with your artist to make sure you’re taken care of effectively.

  • Yes! I can do one free touchup within a year of the tattoo only if its needed. The tattoo should be healed about a month before I can do touch-ups.

Sometimes a tattoo that is still healing might look like it needs touching up when it just hasn’t fully healed yet. If you’re unsure you can send me a photo of your tattoo.

Please note that a touch-up is only when there is missing ink or lighter spots on a tattoo where ink may have “fallen out” during the healing process. Sometimes this happens in certain areas of the body, if client’s are bleeding a lot or from improper aftercare. Tattooing isn’t a perfect medium so needing a touch-up isn’t uncommon.

**Adding new elements to the design is not considered a touch-up.

  • Please read through my Aftercare section for directions on caring for your tattoo. If you have any questions or concerns you can email me as well.
